I have been trying to figure out where that famous arch was located since we arrived in New York. Obviously I wasn't searching real hard, but finally, we found it. To be honest I had been looking for it about 3 blocks north, ha!
This is Washington Square Park. It's really lovely and was filled with many talented performers all afternoon. We heard singers, a pianist, comedians and drummers. We saw sun flowers, fountains, beautiful people and tall trees. The weather was cool and we were quite content.
We were pretty amazed with this bird guy. He had a huge bag of bird seeds that he would let people take for free to feed all the birds. They were on him all afternoon. I was a little grossed out that people were letting these dirty pigeons land on them but it was fun to watch.
We were really impressed with all the people we saw playing chess. It made me want to learn and get good enough to compete with some of the gentlemen we saw playing. We saw a young boy playing against an older man, of course the boy lost but apparently he put up a pretty good fight.
Happy Friday everyone!
We are currently on our way to Pennsylvania to enjoy some Allen family fun. Enjoy your General Conference weekend!
