The first cold Saturday of the season we headed out to enjoy down town. We started at Taco Taco for the Dine O Round the city was hosting to encourage trying new restaurants at a discounted price. I tried their fried zucchini taco as well a pork taco. Both were great though I especially enjoyed the zucchini one. Two thumbs up for Taco Taco which is right by the SLPL. So, of course, we had to take Zach to the library since he had never been. Brock helped us discover the worlds best movie selection and Anna showed them the children's section and the art of puddle stomping. It was a great way to spend a wet Saturday.

I had the chance to meet my great aunt Mildred a few weeks ago and it was amazing! She is just a few years younger than my grandmother (who passed away about 10 years ago). Her mannerisms and speech reminded me of her so much. It felt so good to visit with her and hear about her life. We have a date to go through some family pictures in the not to distant future and if you know me, you know how much i LOVE pictures!
It was also nice to spend time with my aunt Wendy and uncle Jerry. My cousin, their daughter, is expecting their first grandchild and it was fun to see how much they enjoyed Anna. They are going to be excellent grandparents.

Having Paula and Lexi in town gave us a great excuse to get together and discover a new restaurant. We met up at the Banana Leaf in Provo. Its an Indian restaurant that is divine! I got coconut curry and a mango lassie which were some of the best I've had. I highly recommend going. We were the only people there which made it extra great! Oh and the company, Lexi, Ally, and Paula are some of the funnest girls I know. There is a constant stream of laughter and lighthearted fun. I always feel rejuvenated after being around them. I absolutely love the family I acquired by marrying Zach.

On a rainy Sunday, late in September, we gathered to celebrate Ricky's 17th birthday. He played it cool and kept it low key with a homemade sponge cake topped with fruit and a single candle. He is growing into a man i hoped he would and its fun to see him surprising all of us with his maturity while keeping that love of life that has always made us laugh.

While shopping around the Fort Union shopping center we decided we needed food. I saw this place and I knew I had to stop and try it out. We were not disappointed. The meal was reasonably priced, the sandwich was large, and it was better than any of my homemade ones. I got the three cheese on sour dough. I'm excited to go back and give Melty another try.
