Over the weekend we explored the southern Manhattan area. We hopped on the free ferry and rode to Staten Island and back. The view was beautiful. We concluded that we could be quite happy living on the lower west side of the island.
We were able to see the Brooklyn bridge on one side of the ferry and the Statue of Liberty on the other.
The tallest building in Manhattan (pictured below) is the new World Trade Center 1. There will be three more just like it.
Although we were out on a high heat advisory day dripping with sweat, we had a great time. We really do think it is so beautiful here. There are so many parks and you cant go too many miles with out running into water. We think we will be quite happy here.
