Gardens and Storms
There are beautiful parks and gardens all through Central Park. This is one we stopped by and thought was beautiful. It was not as grand as I had anticipated but none less beautiful.
We have also been experiencing a lot of rain and thunder storms here. I love it. Thunder and lightening and rain are about three of my most favorite things. The only thing I don't like about it is how muggy it gets, also, totally different smell here.
While out exploring just the other day we got caught in a storm and had to hide out in the entrance of a church for the rain to settle down enough for us to get back to the train. Not a bad place to get stuck for a while. We are currently looking for umbrellas and will have them before this weeks predicted storms.
Happy Monday everyone!

The High Line
The High Line is a park built where the old trains used to run above ground.
It is skinny and stretches about a mile or so long weaving around and above the city.
There is one tunnel type area that is filled with food and art vendors. Its a really well taken care of park and very pretty though busy.
It is surrounded by some beautiful and unique architecture. We looked at the price of one new apartment complex right on top of the park. Studio apartments were starting around 3,000 a month. I guess you could say it's a nice area.
Here is a map so can see where we walked. Its pretty long and stretched off the map in both directions. This is on the lower west side.
Have a wonderful Friday Everyone!

Pommes Frites
Known for its authentic Belgian fries, we had to give it a try. Anyone that knows us knows how much we love making and eating french fries. Checking this place out was a no-brainer.
They are nice thick fries that come with your choice of any of their 26 sauces. We tried the Mexican ketchup, cheese sauce, and pesto mayo. They were all really good but I think the Mexican ketchup was the most surprisingly addictive.
We found a nice little park to sit and eat our lunch of fries. It was quite delicious and as always we enjoyed our time downtown. Way more happening than Uptown or Midtown.
If you ever think of a place we might enjoy, let us know. If there is some place you want to see through our eyes in NYC, tell us and we will check it out and post our experiance.
Happy Thursday everyone!

Concert In The Park
After enjoying the rooftop jazz music we walked to central park to enjoy the New York Philharmonic. Seriously amazing. Had we known sooner we probably would have done the Empire another night just to get better "seats" (sitting our little butts on the lawn).

There were so many people. I was really impressed that everyone even clapped at the right time. Everyone waited until the conductors hands were down to begin clapping. And while people were chatting you could still hear the music perfectly.

(Sorry the talking sounds loud because it was so much closer, but be impressed with how loud the music is )
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Chuck Bass Who
Good morning Upper East Siders. Zach and Sara here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattans elite.
After testing her public transportation skills S arrived, with an Italian dinner in hand, to pick Z up from work. S and Z walked over to the Empire where their "reserved" spot on the roof was waiting.
The air felt great up there and it was a beautiful view. S and Z were caught watching the sun set over a glass or two of water, chatting and people watching.
While S and Z say they went to enjoy some free Jazz music, which was quite exquisite, we can all be sure they wanted to feel classy and a part of society's upper echelon for an evening. In the end we all knew they would return to their home on the way Upper West Side.
You know you love me.
XOXO
