Great Escape

This weekend Zach and I had the wonderful opportunity of getting out of town. Not that I don't already feel like I am on vacation living here but its always fun to shake things up a little bit and step away from lesson plans and such.

We headed down to St. George to visit some family friends. Their oldest son was giving his farewell talk. He leaves to serve a mission for the LDS church in a couple of weeks and will be serving in Australia. It was a good excuse to visit and hang out while being supportive.

They let us stay in their lovely condo in Hurricane. It was grand and spacious and had a pool. It was warm enough at 5 in the evening that we were even able to enjoy it for a couple of hours.

While at our friends house on Sunday we (re)discovered a fun puzzle game. The object of the game is to use marbles to skip over one another, removing the skipped, ones until you only have one marble remaining.  The closest we got was two marbles but we never quite figured out how to get just one left. I think I might need to go find this game for myself.

After a delicious lunch and good company we decided to head back. It was hard to leave such a relaxing weekend behind, but we enjoyed all the happy memories we were able to make.
Thanks for letting us tag along.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

p.s. One of my dear friends mothers is in a coma and needing all the good thoughts and prayers she can get. If she doesn't make it than her daughter (my friend) on a mission, her husband, and her three boys will need all the prayers and support they can get. If you have any spare prayers or are headed to a temple please keep them in mind. Thank you.
