Timpanogos Caves

Saturday morning we all met up to go on a mile hike up to the Timpanogos caves. We were glad we got there early because it was quickly warming up at just 9 in the morning.

It was a beautiful hike up. The cave entrance was a door because the original entrance would have required a lot of climbing and repelling. The doors also helped to keep strong winds from moving through and destroying the caves environment.

There were so many beautiful colors and textures in the fault line formed caves.  Some of the calcium deposits seamed to defy gravity.

While it was nice to warm up and let our eyes adjust back to the sun, by the time we got back to the cars I was missing the cold caves. It was a good tour of the caves filled with informative facts and stories. If you are in the Salt Lake are I definitely recommend going.

After watching Snow White and The Huntsman (which I don't recommend due to a lack of story line and flow) we were treated to flavored cones at Arctic Circle. It was so good I am afraid I feel no loyalty to McDonalds cheap cones.

Happy Monday everyone!
