Belgian Waffle & Omlelet Inn
The first day of the new year we rolled out of bed around 10:00 and headed to The Belgian Waffle & Omelet Inn for some delicious brunch. My mom took us there for their garbage hash that is truly amazing with its bacon, veggies, and tones of cheese. I got the veggie omelet which was also fantastic. I'm excited to go back and try more off that menu. It has a small town, treat you like neighbors, don't leave until you're bursting at the seems feel that just makes you love it even more.

Solids
We have started feeding Anna rice cereal a couple times a week. She does great with it and can even swallow a spoon full without getting down her chin, sometimes. I can't wait for her to experience more foods and eventually go out and eat delicious burgers with us. Grow, baby, grow!

New Doctor
Due to the move Anna had to miss her 4 month appointment. Vaccines still needed to be had so at almost 5 months she was ready for her second round of shots. She did so well, she cried while getting the shots but as soon as the last band-aid was on she decided she was fine. She is still staying long and thin and developmentally on track. The doctor said it was time for solid foods and water to be introduced to her diet. I absolutely love all of these new phases.

Driving Home
We enjoyed a lovely sunset on our drive back from Montana. Anna slept most of the way when she wasn't gnawing on Sophie. I always love our time in Montana and can not wait to visit again. I'm grateful we are only 8 hours away now.

Baby Shower
My friend, Brittany, from New York was having a baby shower in Utah for her second boy. I was so excited to see her and two other friends from NYC that would also be there. We had such a good time visiting. After talking with Amber and Stepper I felt so inspired to really work on eating healthier. I'm so grateful for such motivational, inspirational, and fun friends in my life. Thanks for the much needed inspiration and visiting!
Oh and that picture on the bottom left, yeah the cute squiggle, that is my winning sketch of a baby. Drawn with a pencil, on a plate, on top of my head. I will be selling this and others like it for a premium price once I can get a gallery opened. ha. Thanks for choosing me Brittany!
New Year = New Do
While in Montana we decided to have a girls day at Kenzies Salon. We had so much fun visiting, eating veggie, pizza, and getting our hair cut and colored by our favorite hair dresser. We even got to see Ariel and Jesse, who Anna and I met for the first time. Anna was not sure how she felt about Jesse, the closer she got to him the more fussy and scared she got. Sorry Jesse.
All in all it was the best girls day, with the best of company, and the best hair results iv had in a long time. Thanks for all the wonderful memories and my new fondness of bangs.

Augusta
While visiting in Montana we got to see the Ford family in Augusta. Kezia made a bunch of really cute hats and there was one just about Anna's size. I love being related to such crafty people!

The New Year
1) I resolve to eat less sugar and none the month of February
2) I resolve to shut my mouth more often than I open it
3) I resolve to do something active everyday
4) I resolve to proudly say when asked what I do; "I am a mom".

Rock me mama like a wagon wheel...
The day after Christmas we had an Allen/Urick get together. As requested, guitars came along, which meant lovely music, singing along, and putting all budding and professional musicians on the spot. We had so much fun singing "Wagon Wheel", even if Matt and Dave where the only ones who knew more then the chorus. It was one of those nights that wouldn't have ended if no one needed sleep. The Allens and Uricks sure make a great team. I can't wait to do it all again some time.
