Memorial Day Picnic

We spent Memorial day braving the crowds at Central Park. We enjoyed a Whole Foods picnic and then walked around the park. You could tell it was the first nice day in a while, and a holiday to boot. Even  though it was a busy place to be the weather was absolutely perfect and there were still open benches for some prime people watching.

Chavela's

On Saturday we met up with our girl Chelsea and her friend Jessica. We had so much fun sharing our favorite Mexican restaurant find with them. Part of the reason we love Chavela's so much is their delicious flan. It is a perfectly smooth combination of custard, caramel, and cream flavors. Yummy!

Week 32

Comparing week 32 to weeks 12 and 19. We are still growing and doing well around here. Anna should be about 4 lbs and 19 inches. She is starting to put on weight and rearing up to gain 1/2 a pound a week for about a month. Yikes! I keep thinking I'm big enough but guess we have to keep expanding to make room for little Anna.
We got to meet the 5 other doctors that might be delivering Anna and hear about the hospital experience from the professionals. It was great and helped give us some peace of mind. We feel very blessed to be referred to this great hospital and our wonderful doctor.

Play Ball

After work one day we decided to play some catch at central park. After grabbing a bite to eat we found a spot to toss the ball around. It was a good time, even if we did get a crazed man asking us to move because he was trying to have a serious conversation with his girl, and then proceeded to make out with her.... good talk buddy. Yes we moved but just far enough away that we could still see the couple "talking". We imagine it was about how many kids to have and whether or not to start that night... but who really knows.
Central park is always good for people watching... and playing catch.

31 Weeks

I got my first kick to the ribs Saturday night. More evidence that she is still growing and developing daily. This week we have a meet and greet where we will get to meet the other three doctors that will do the delivery if my doctor happens to be away. We will also get to hear about what to expect and all the hospital procedures. It is starting to feel real!

Serendipity III and Hot Dog Carts

Saturday we enjoyed some frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity III. Yes, the same place from the movie. This is the second time Zach and I have enjoyed this delicious treat. After that delectable sensation we headed to the Met for dogs on the steps. Two of my favorite things to eat in NYC.

Weekend Visitors

Saturday was Bre and TJ's last visit New York before they head off on their adventures in Japan. We spent Saturday working on their bucket list and enjoying each other along the way. Zach enjoyed taking Dominik on the carousel at Bryant park. While deciding whether or not to brave the line at Serendipity III we took the tram to Roosevelt Island to enjoy the city from a different perspective.  We never get sick of exploring the city and love the excuse to show it off to anyone we can.

Mini Marshmallows

Saturday night after games we cozied up around the fire to roast mini marshmallows.  After tiring or roasting cute popcorn shaped things we moved on to burning sticks and wrappers which proved quite entertaining. We discovered my dad's hidden burned typography talent and enjoyed showing our school pride in the process.
