Halloween

 

We kicked off the evening at the ward Trunk-or-Treat. It was so fun to see all Anna's little friends dressed up so cute. Anna loved getting into all the suckers and dancing to the music. As soon as that was over we headed out to my parents to Trick-or-Treat around the col-d-sac. She loved knocking on the doors and carrying her bag on her arm. We all enjoyed the warm weather, hanging out with Anna and eating my moms delicious baked goods. 

 

Frightmares at Lagoon

Thanks to my cousins who work at Lagoon we got a great deal on Frighmares this week. It was such a blast taking Anna to Lagoon for the first time. She hung out with Grandpa while we went through the haunted houses and on a few roller coasters. She loved the singing pumpkins, the kids trick or treat walk through, and the spooky dance show. I can't wait to go back when she's a little bit older and go on all the rides with her.

Festivities with Friends

 Our good friends the McCrerys hosted an amazing Halloween party. We got to dress up for a costume contest, eat delicious sammys, go reverse Trick-or Treating by giving treats to the neighbors, indulging in donuts and cider, and genuinely enjoying each other and the kids.

Trick-or-Treat at Grandpas Office

The Friday before Halloween Anna was invited to trick-or-treat at grandpas office. She loved carrying her bag and picking out candy, she did not love the dark rooms with with cute ghosts or floating pumpkins, but luckily grandpa was there to save the day and lead her to more candy.

Murray's Haunted Woods

Last week we took Anna to the park to walk through the Haunted Woods. Its a city tradition that we couldn't refuse.  First we grabbed hot dogs from Costco, just across the street, then we got in line for the haunted walk, hot coco and donuts. The woods were impressively decked and the actors sufficiently scary. Anna was not a fan of one of the gouls but she did enjoy her smarties while we indulged in hot chocolate and donuts. I think this is the most fun i have had around Halloween in a long time and it is 100% because of Anna. Kids make everything new and exciting again. I absolutely love it!
