Burgers and Cheesecakes

When we have to think of romantic things to do, on such days as Valentine's Day, we are invariably drawn to find a great place to eat. If you have learned anything about us, you know we love food. Zach is especially fond of finding great burgers and I am all too happy to join in the taste testing. He and I also share a love for cheesecake which has brought us to the steps of Eileen's Cheesecake on more than one occasion. We work to be healthy on the weekdays but boy do we indulge on the weekends. Maybe this is why we don't want to leave NYC anytime soon.

A Little Bit of This and That

I experienced my first Big Mac this winter. Wow, what an experience, definitely a step up from my usual dollar cheeseburger. While it was quite delicious, nothing compares to the real thing from almost any other burger joint for a few bucks more. Sorry, McDonald's.

We are making sure Anna knows who to cheer for by buying her the proper gear.  I couldn't resist picking up this adorable shirt for our future daddy's girl.

In other news my name has been permanently printed in three of Graphis Inc's annuals and our new website finally launched. It's all exciting times here in NYC.

We are working on cutting sweets out of our diet, but doesn't all of this candy look so fun? We have stumbled upon a few crazy candy stores including this one. It's so hard to stay healthy around so many delicious places.

Off to the Races

Saturday night we made our way down to the world famous Armory to watch Lexie run her final indoor meet of the season. It was wonderful to watch as she ran her way to a 3K personal record.

It's great to have such talented family to cheer for and follow as they accomplish amazing things. We've loved having her in the city and for the opportunity to spend some time together. There's nothing better than family.

Halfway There

It is true that we have reached week 20. We can start counting down instead of up because this little girl is due in just 4 1/2 short months. Just seeing all the spring clothes come out has got my head spinning. Just one more season to go and we will be able to buy summer clothes for our new born. How wild!

This past week Anna's wiggles and kicks have started to feel real and strong. Saturday night Zach was even able to feel a little limb push against my belly and his hand. Words cannot describe what an amazing feeling that is. Every little step makes her more and more real to us. Her name is starting to feel less foreign on our lips as we get to know her better (even if it is just wiggles, stats, and sonogram pictures).  We are, as always, super excited over here.

Saturday Walk

We set out to explore the trails around the Cloisters for the first time since fall. It was fun to see everything without the leaves in the trees. It made me realize how close together everything is. During the summer I was under the impression at times that I was far away from everything. Now looking straight through the park I realized how close and compact everything really is. I am truly grateful for the trees and new perspectives.

Hurry Back

We dragged our friends all over the city until we were all exhausted. Then we go and photo bomb a perfectly good picture. I don't know how they even put up with us.

I always love showing people around the city. I feel like I get to see it for the first time all over again. Because really, the first time, you don't remember a dang thing. At least I don't think I did. I was so exhausted and so overwhelmed. Besides, there is so much going on you can never take it all in in one quick glance. So, even if you already visited us, here is an excuse to come back again and again.
