Game Night

After an awesome wood fire cooked dinner of hot dogs and s'mores we went downtown for a game. The Washington Wizards vs. the Charlotte Bobcats. It was a close game that went into two overtimes. Even though they weren't teams I knew very well, it was a fun game to watch.

Thanks for the wonderful vacation Finlayson family. We could not  have asked for better hosts!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

The National Zoo

While in DC we enjoyed spending an afternoon at the National Zoo. We saw all kinds of fun animals. It was colder than the day before so we really enjoyed the warm reptile exhibit and saw tons of crazy snakes, lizards, frogs and a couple huge turtles. I was glad to be reminded how awesome the zoo is.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

The Monuments

We lucked out with the most perfect weather to walk around and explore the monuments and memorials. They are all so close together and truly remarkable to see up close.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a day filled with delicious smells, and samples, and food prep tricks. It was also a day where a hundred or so rolls were made.

We stretched our tummies for some delicious eats by playing some basketball. Check out our vertical.

There was so much good food. I think we all walked away weighing a couple pounds more than when we started. It was a perfect Thanksgiving.

Happy Friday everyone!

Rockefeller Center

Before going to the Rockettes we enjoyed dinner at the Burger Joint at the La Meridian hotel. After delicious burgers and fries we walked to Rockefeller Center to see the tree before it was decorated and the skating rink.

Things are getting pretty beautiful around here. Happy Wednesday everyone!

Radio City Rockettes

The weekend before Thanksgiving we had a friend whose roommate had some extra tickets to the Rockettes. We jumped at the chance and made it to the show just in time.

They had perfect costumes and the moves were so crisp it almost didn't look real. We were blown away by such a stunning performance.

Above images from here, here, and here.

We were impressed when at the end they even did a Christian segment that focused on Christ, his birth and all that came to worship him on that first Christmas night. We had a wonderful time.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Saturday with the Schustroms

We chatted on the steps of Columbia's old library.

We explored the Chelsea Market and walked around the High Line.

We even saw a wedding party photo shoot and lovely cars that were ready to take them away.

We jammed to Hare Krishna as we enjoyed Washington Square Park.

We got a kick out of performers hitting on Paula and jumping over a line a people. It was a long show but highly entertaining.

We truly enjoyed hanging out with this wonderful family. Glad we get to claim them as relatives.
Sorry for the delay in posting and happy Monday everyone!
