Another cute blogger

Okay so I just blogged about the 'Daybook' girl but you need to check out the 'I Believe in Unicorns' girl. She is also super cute and right now she is doing a give away which is pretty awesome. So if your looking for fashion inspiration or just a give away check out http://writingrainbows.blogspot.com/

Snow, School and Famous People

I must say I am enjoying the beautiful winter wonderland. I think i would enjoy it more however if i was sitting by a huge window with a fire place and a good book. Instead i have a small window and no time to read a good book that isn't class related. School as an elm. ed. teacher means a lot of busy work so it is keeping me on my toes but i am enjoying most of it.

Speaking of amazing fashion and my famous person....
I was meeting a friend at this little place on campus called Freshens. I was sitting with Zach and my friend feeling pretty cool when the Daybook girl walks by. She was standing in line to order and I just about died. She is a fashion blogger and she is just as beautiful in person. I wanted to talk to her or get a picture with her but i felt to weird, like i was super stalkerish or something and then i realized how much teller i am then her and of course i was super self conscious of my outfit. So she ordered and left and i missed my chance to meet my fashion idol. I know crazy right? I am just glad i wasn't wearing one of the outfits of hers i like to copy almost exactly.
And yeah, Zach loves to tease me about it.

If you have not herd of her you need to check out her blog. Seriously the cutest, modestly dressed girl in Idaho.

The Mustache

The mustache was born in October and died the first of January. It was conceived to create a rustic family photo with two other mustaches and 6 pairs of cowboy boots.

Christmas in Montana

We enjoyed getting out of our little college town for the holidays as we headed to lovely Montana.

Erica did a lovely job decorating the house and getting us all in the holiday spirit. Before Christmas rolled around we got to do a lot of fun food prep. We made turtles, Oreo mint truffles and home made caramel for dipping apples. Zach made a cheese cake and Erica made amazing breakfasts and dinners every day. Zach and I decided we gained at least 5 pounds each.

On Christmas Eve we had a fun Allen family get together. We enjoyed a lot of good food and opening presents from Buck and Bev.

Christmas morning was so exciting. We woke up and had a delicious breakfast followed by stockings and then Christmas present opening. Zach and I ended up with great stuff from awesome people with excellent taste.
The day after Christmas was our family picture day.
The year of cowboy boots and mustaches.

We had a lot of fun on New Years as well. Unfortunately I didn't document our fun ho-down evening. We danced from 10:00 to about 12:30 in the AM to live country music. An excellent way to bring in the new decade.
The roads in Montana got a little crazy at times. So crazy in fact that when a deer stepped out in frount of our car one night we ended up stuck in lots of snow off the opposite side of the road. Luckily it didn't take much to pull us out and the deer, its deer buddy and the car were fine.
The wind caused crazy drifts all over and created some pretty cool looking roads. Leave it to the Californian to get excited about snow drifting across the road.
After the great vactaion we had to head back home for work and school.
Time for another great day at BYU Idaho.
